The first picket at Scientology's UK headquarters - Saint Hill Manor, East Grinstead in sunny Sussex. An inconvenient place to picket as picketing means standing on a grass verge on a country road, but it "enturbulated" the Scientologists and showed them that nowhere in Britain can be considered safe. The picketers then re-grouped and picketed outside the Scientology bookshop in the town itself. Since Scientology was prepared for this second picket they threw their "elite" at us and still had to endure a successful picket. Whether the grimy drunk who assaulted the picketers and tried and failed to steal Duke was put up to it by the Scientologists is open to debate.
